Like other Ceriatone amps, we have labored carefully to select the finest components to suit the design, and the 5E7 uses our specially designed custom transformers for superior reliability, frequency response, and feel. Speaker configurations aside, you’ll find this amplifier is somewhat of a little brother to the legendary 5E8-A, with great cleans, creamy breakup, and all shades in between. The use of the trio of 10” speakers lent a signature flavor to the sound, and we recommend pairing it with one for authentic 5E7 tones. The preamp is similar to a stripped-down 5E8-A, but the power section softens the response and adds creaminess to the overdriven tones. The 5E7 uses a single 5U4G rectifier with a pair of 6L6 tubes for around 20-35W, depending on your selection of output and rectifier tubes.

This amplifier was made in the ‘50s, and was available as a 3x10” combo. The Ceriatone 5E7 amplifier is based on the tweed-covered amplifier of the same designation. 45 watts into 4-10 inch Alnico speakers to capture that tone that has had people paying thousands more for.For many years! Clean, loud and bold, it fits in nicely for louder gigs where more headroom is required and more than the B元10 can provide. The classic American amplifiers of the ‘50s and ‘60s inspired us to create the, errrrr, American Classic series. A bit darker than the other two models and to my ears favors Strat and Tele guitars.

This enables a great bluesy crunch with perfect stage coverage for louder gigs. It creates a slight drop in wattage (28) from the same circuit with matched speaker load. Part of the magic of this amp is the slight mismatch in ohms from output transformer to speaker load. Warm with touch sensitivity that is never hard on the ears! Just the right amount of headroom and dirt for various playing styles.

Coming in at about 30 watts with 2-10 inch Weber Alnico speakers this is a nice mid wattage amp for club gigs.

Blue Lamp 210 The BL210 is a replica of the famed 2X10 Tweed Super amp.
